Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Family Suite

Disney's Art of Animation Resort has Family Suites inspired by Disney and Pixar films. This resort brings animated stories to life with detailed theming and larger-than-life characters. Finding Nemo, Cars, The Lion King, and The Little Mermaid inspire every corner of the resort. As part of the Value Resorts at Walt Disney World® Resort, the Family Suites are an affordable and spacious option for families.

Layout and Amenities

Disney’s Art of Animation Family Suite layout is perfect for families who need extra space. These suites can accommodate up to six adults, offering plenty of space to relax. Each suite at Art of Animation Resort includes a private bedroom, two full bathrooms, a living area, and a kitchenette.

You can choose themed Family Suites in The Lion King, Finding Nemo, or Cars sections of the resort. Each of these hotel rooms offers detailed décor inspired by its film, creating an immersive experience.

Unlike other Value Resorts, these suites have interior hallway access. This provides a more traditional hotel feel compared to the outdoor “motel-style” doors found at other Value Resorts.

Bedroom

The private bedroom features a queen-size bed, storage space, and an en-suite bathroom. It has a mounted TV to access Walt Disney World Resort programming.

Living Area

When you enter the suite, you’ll step into the living area. This living room space features a sleeper sofa and a murphy bed that folds down from the dining table, both double-sized. A flat-screen TV, comfortable seating, and space for luggage complete the area.

Kitchenette

The kitchenette includes a mini fridge, microwave, sink, and coffee maker. You'll find supplies like paper plates, plastic utensils, and coffee packets. Housekeeping replenishes items as needed.

Bathrooms

A top feature of Family Suites at Art of Animation Resort is the inclusion of two full bathrooms. One bathroom connects to the bedroom and features a walk-in shower. The second, located off the living area, includes a tub/shower combination. Both bathrooms provide ample counter space.

Landscape of Flavors

The resort hotel's main dining in Animation Hall, Landscape of Flavors, is a quick-service food court. It offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You can choose from a variety of pasta, burgers, international cuisine, and more. Mobile ordering is available in the My Disney Experience app to save you time upon arrival.

The Drop Off Pool Bar

The Drop Off Pool Bar, located near the Big Blue Pool, serves cocktails, beer, wine, and light snacks. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a day in the parks or by the pool.

Recreation

Pools

Disney’s Art of Animation Resort features three themed pools:

  1. The Big Blue Pool (Finding Nemo): This is the largest themed pool at Walt Disney World Resort with over 308,527 gallons of water! Nearby, the Schoolyard Sprayground has jets and gushing water, perfect for little ones.
  2. Cozy Cone Pool (Cars): A quieter pool with cone-shaped cabanas for shade.
  3. Flippin’ Fins Pool (The Little Mermaid): This pool showcases Sebastian conducting his under-the-sea orchestra.

Each pool area includes plenty of seating and lifeguards for safety. Daily poolside activities, including games and trivia, add to the fun.

Campfires

Enjoy marshmallow roasting at nightly campfire activities near Pride Rock. This event for all families is a relaxing way to end your day.

Movies Under the Stars

Watch Disney films outdoors at the Big Blue Pool on select evenings. Movies start at 8 PM, offering a magical evening under the stars.

Jogging Trail

A 1.38-mile jogging trail loops around the Hourglass Lake, which connects this resort area with Disney's Pop Century Resort. It offers scenic views for walkers and runners.

Playground

The Righteous Reef Playground is a fun space for kids to climb, slide, and play. You'll find this located in the Finding Nemo section on your way to the Disney Skyliner.

Arcade

The Pixel Play Arcade near the lobby front desk provides a variety of video games. Guests can buy rechargeable game cards to use here and at other resort arcades.

Transportation

The Disney Skyliner gondola system connects the resort hotel to two of the theme parks. Enjoy stunning views as you zip through the skies to EPCOT® and Disney’s Hollywood Studios®. The Disney Skyliner also connects you to the following resort hotels for nearby dining:

For a private ride, you can pay for the Minnie Van™ Service connected by Lyft to get around Walt Disney World Resort.
